Lady Eagles open state playoffs with win

SHINGLETOWN -- Pitcher Elizabeth Hackett and the Bald Eagle Area softball team shut out South Park 4-0 Monday in the first round of the PIAA Class AA playoffs at Hess Field. The Lady Eagles move on to a second-round game against Washington on Thursday.
